About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team!This position supports the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties, ensuring smooth coordination of administrative tasks, tenant relations, maintenance requests, lease renewals, and financial processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates in an office setting, with frequent travel to local properties for inspections, showings, and coordination tasks. Weekly schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance requests, general inquiries, and lease-related questions.
  • Record, track, and follow up on maintenance and repair work orders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external maintenance staff and vendors.
  • Track lease renewals and assist property managers with follow-up and documentation.
  • Schedule and conduct property showings and inspections as needed.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files, property records, and communication logs in company software.
  • Process payments, deposits, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
  • Track and pay vendor invoices; monitor account balances.
  • Assist with financial reports, data entry, and account reconciliations.
  • Follow up with tenants on outstanding balances.
  • Support senior management with administrative projects, reporting, and special tasks.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate, property management, or an administrative role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other related software
  • Valid driver's license (local travel required)

Preferred:

  • Experience in marketing and advertising
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant law
  • Intermediate accounting and math skills
