About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role involves coordinating staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
What you will do:
Assist the Restaurant Manager in developing and implementing operational plans and procedures.
Supervise and motivate restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
Ensure that all staff members are trained and knowledgeable about menu items, service standards, and company policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with inventory management and cost control.
Assist with scheduling and timekeeping for restaurant staff.
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
What you'll bring:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
Proven ability to manage and motivate staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant computer software, e.g., POS systems, inventory management software.
