Job Description
Come join our team! Wood’s CRW Corp., a second generation family owned Construction Equipment Distributor is seeking a qualified Assistant Service Manager to join our team at our Williston, VT location. This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for the effective performance of assigned functions within the service department, including:
- Assisting with prioritizing and scheduling service and repair of machines and equipment.
- Prioritizing key partner accounts and machine down situations.
- Effectively communicating with customer partners on the status of machine repairs.
- Utilize Intellitech system as a department resource.
- Utilize the Volvo Active Care Direct (ACD) program:
- Register rental machines in ACD program.
- Monitor and respond to ACD Alerts as needed.
- Monitor monthly ACD reports.
- Transfer ACD to partners when machines are sold.
- Improve take rate of Customer Service Agreements (CSAs)
- Provide machine quotes to sales department.
- Manage partner CSAs.
- Utilize Volvo Care Inspection Process for:
- Large customer machine quotes.
- Trade Evaluations.
- Participation in Volvo COE program.
- Supervise Williston yard for organization, appearance, and safety.
- Provide backup for Service Manager as needed.
- Ensure the department runs smoothly and commitments are met.
- Open, close and review work orders as needed.
- Create customer estimates as needed.
- Assist in the shop with billable hours as needed.
- Communicate with all service contacts in a professional manner:
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and suppliers.
- Supervise all department files to ensure material is properly filed.
- Operate within all policies and procedures of the company as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
- Maintain high employee morale.
- Maintain excellent customer relations.
Job Requisites
The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, intelligent and able to quickly adapt to changing situations – customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers, and manufacturer’s employees
Education/Training/Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent experience in an office setting.
General Skill Requisites
- Strong clerical and keyboarding skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to learn industry specific software system
