Assistant Teacher (Floater) - The Learning Experience Bristow

Location: Bristow, VA

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 12:30 PM-6:00 PM

Pay: $17-$19 per hour

The Learning Experience- Bristow is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher (Floater) to support classrooms across the center. This flexible, fast-paced role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children of different ages and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support in infant, toddler, and preschool environments as needed.

• Assist teachers with daily routines including transitions, activities, meals, and rest time.

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

• Follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines.

• Step into classrooms quickly and confidently as staffing needs change throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.

• Reliable, flexible, and comfortable supporting multiple age groups.

• CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).

• Must meet all Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
