Job Description

The Associate Recruitment Assistant is responsible for supporting the Associate Recruitment team with general administrative support of the fall on-campus and summer associate programs. In addition, this person will also provide support for the firm's lateral associate recruitment activities as needed. The Assistant will have regular interaction with firm lawyers and personnel across all of our U.S. offices, candidates for associate positions, and vendors related to the recruiting function.

This role reports into the Associate Recruitment Manager - Western Region, who is also located in the Denver office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support for the department by answering telephones; Maintaining supplies and marketing materials; Generating correspondence; Creating/updating forms and various documents (contact lists, charts, calendars, budget spreadsheets, etc.); Maintaining department calendar and files; Opening and processing department mail.
  • Maintain various aspects of the recruitment process, such as entering resumes and updating candidate data in recruiting database; Generating candidate correspondence; Maintaining applicant files; Preparing interview materials for in-house and on-campus interviews; Tracking and processing applicant expenses; Communicating status of applications with candidates; Entering candidates into internal security database.
  • Assist with various aspects of the summer associate program, including program information (internal & external), orientation and training materials, and coordinating candidate summer expense travel.
  • Assist with summer associate work assignment process and evaluations.
  • Assist with on-site and off-site event planning as requested.
  • Assist with registration for on-campus programs including organizing on-campus materials.
  • Assist with scheduling of on-campus and job fair interviews.
  • Assist with greeting and escorting candidates.
  • Assist management team with scheduling candidate interviews as requested.
  • Supports the legal personnel intake function by responding to request from various attorneys and other administrative departments as requested.
  • Supports the Recruitment Committee and Summer Associate Committee with preparation of meeting materials and other requests as needed.
  • All members of the firm are expected to participate in our global Responsible Business program.
  • Additional tasks and duties, as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
  • Exercise good judgment and flexibility.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidential information at all times.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) + years of related work experience in a law firm or law school career service environment or other similar professional services environment.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience working in applicant tracking software preferred.

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including one hour for lunch. Overtime may be required at certain peak times of year.

The annualized salary range for this position is $47,000 to $57,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exist.
