Position Overview:
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 4:30 pmThe Associate System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the company's Facilities Security systems and providing technical support to users when needed. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and configure software and hardware, and assist in the planning and implementation of Facilities Security systems and projects. You will also monitor and maintain select server systems to ensure optimal performance and security.This is considered an essential on-site role, which requires regular on-site attendance and occasional irregular hours.Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to users for hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware
Assist in the planning, resource allocation and implementation of Facilities Security hardware/software projects
Monitoring and remediating issues with select server systems
Support the development of basic hardware and software-based solutions for business needs as required
Maintain accurate records of Facilities Security support requests and resolutions
Keep up with the latest security hardware and software technologies; assisting with testing and implementation of updates, upgrades or new systems as needed
Coordinate with internal organization/support groups and/or with vendors to complete projects appropriately
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Computer & Network Technology A.A.S. degree, equivalent relevant work experience or combination of education and experience
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Knowledge in various operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux/iOS/Android)
Self-motivated
Familiarity with IT security best practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer & Network Technology A.A.S. degree
1-2 years of experience in similar role
IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+)
Knowledge of DigiKey facilities and operations
Physical Requirements:
Physical Impact Rating: Intensity-Moderate, Frequency-Often
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
Capable of occasional walking/standing on concrete for 8-10 hours
Must be able to climb stairs and use ladders and or scissor lifts to access equipment
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is:
$29.50to
$36.00Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. The employer does not offer immigration sponsorship for this opportunity.
