JOB DESCRIPTION
Northwest Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Intern to join our Internal Audit team for Summer 2026. This internship provides hands-on experience in auditing processes, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations across various departments within the bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in planning and executing internal audit engagements under the supervision of audit professionals.
- Perform testing of internal controls and document audit findings.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas of risk.
- Support the preparation of audit reports and presentations for management.
- Participate in walkthroughs and interviews with business units to understand processes and controls.
- Help ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to special projects related to risk mitigation, fraud prevention, or process improvement.
- Assist in audit department support functions (board reporting, quality assurance, training development).
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.
