Description

The Director of Clinic Operations is responsible for the oversight of GRMC outpatient clinics. Contributing to business improvements plans, overseeing the clinics finances, accountability to GRMC executive leadership, and instilling an environment of providing exceptional quality, patient-centered care in healing environments. Responsibilities consist of strategic planning, budgeting, coordinating the operations of the clinics, including supervision (directly or indirectly) of administrative functions, space allocation, liaison with patients, practitioners, executive leadership, directors, and caregivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Is accountable for the achievement of assigned objectives, goals and outcomes while utilizing GRMC's standardized Performance Improvement tools and methods.
  • Builds and cultivates cooperative working relationships with caregivers, department heads, medical staff, and other customers.
  • Responsibility for clinical processes design and implementation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of staff and medical provider licensure, facility licensures, designations, and ensure that regulatory requirements are within compliance.
  • Develop and monitor the clinical budgets.
  • Directs activities related to physician and market assessment and physician relationship development.
  • Identifies opportunities to strengthen GRMC primary care and specialty network.
  • Directs communications to advance the position and growth of GRMC recruitment and contracting opportunities per GRMC's strategic planning, including development of systems of care as well as achievement of clinical performance improvement.
  • In conjunction with executive leadership, compliance department, and clinic operations teams negotiates and manages development of all ancillary contracts.
  • Works with medical staffing department to ensure all physician employment, correspondence and documents are drafted and executed accurately and timely.
  • Works with leadership on implementation of clinical integration programs including quality development in all strategic markets.• Collaborating with the executive leadership directs market research and development of GRMC business plans.
  • Creates opportunities to promote direct patient referrals to GRMC's outpatient clinics through the development of business development and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborates with medical staffing department to ensure successful timely onboarding of new physicians.
  • Provides direction to and supervises day-to-day activities of clinic management staff.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, nursing, science or related discipline.
  • Master's Degree in Public Health or Health Services Administration is preferred.
  • Five or more years of health care experience with leadership or management experience, with a proven track record in physician recruitment and relations in a multi-site/multi-specialty clinics new program development and strategic planning or equivalent education and experience.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Capable of utilizing solid interpersonal skills through interaction with physicians, executive leadership, other management members, and representatives of external organizations/businesses. Establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, executive leadership, members of management, payers and community providers. Have experience in effectively supervising staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization, analytic and presentation skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively present information and respond to inquiries in a group setting, including but not limited to physicians, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the current health care environment, the competitive landscape, the organization, functions, policies and procedures of Gila Regional Medical Network and the inter-relationship with the hospital, and the ability to apply the knowledge to the work of the office.
  • Be an experienced problem solver who is pro-active and can analyze complex business problems, involve appropriate parties and identify optimal solutions.
  • Possess proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
