About This Role
We're looking for a Homeowners Line of Business Product Manager to lead the insurance business strategy for our Home Line of Business on a nationwide scale. This is more than a traditional product role - it's an opportunity to shape a key line of business at the heart of our next phase of growth.
As a strategic leader, you'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Actuarial, and our external partners to bring our strategy to life, deliver strong business results, and help redefine how Hippo homeowners' insurance supports the homebuilding experience. What You'll Do
- Set the business vision and lead the insurance product strategy for Hippo's Homeowner Insurance products, playing a pivotal role in shaping our future.
- Use data, financial reports, personal insights, and competitive intel to steer toward profitability and growth.
- Collaborate with key vendor partners to ensure coverage offerings are differentiated, relevant, and ahead of market needs.
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales and other internal MGA teams to develop and execute high-impact tactics, and market aligned initiatives.
- As the strategic leader you will bring together teams, break down silos, and push innovation forward.
- Keep a pulse on the industry and competitive landscape to ensure Hippo continues to succeed in a fast-evolving market.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, economics, actuarial science, or a related analytical field.
- 10+ years of personal lines insurance experience, with deep expertise in the Homeowners line.
- Prior P&L accountability or significant ownership of business outcomes at a state or regional level.
- Demonstrated experience as a working leader that can own strategy while rolling up your sleeves to execute
- Proven track record in corporate functions such as Product Management, Underwriting, or Marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive change, and align teams toward common goals.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and tell compelling stories with insights.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset - someone who thrives on ownership and accountability.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with a Top 20 Homeowners insurance carrier.
- Prior Product Management leadership in the Home Insurance line of business.
- Experience leading large-scale strategic projects aimed at improving profitability or growth.
