Avid Care is currently seeking Enhanced Support Professionals in Penn Hills, Pa.
(32 Total Hours)
- Weekdays: Mondays 9am-10pm/ Wednesday 9a-3pm/ Fridays 9am-10pm
- Opportunity for Overtime
- $150 sign-on bonus paid after successful 90 days of employment
Job Summary:
The Enhanced Support Professional (ESP) provides direct support services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/Autism (ID/A) in alignment with Pennsylvania's 6400 Regulations. This role involves specialized care for individuals with significant medical needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development. The ESP collaborates closely with medical teams, families, and care professionals to promote an individual’s health, independence, and overall quality of life.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Person-Centered Care: Provide support that aligns with individualized plans (ISP) ensuring personal preferences, health, and safety are prioritized.
- Medical Support: Assist individuals with complex medical needs, including medication administration, feeding protocols (G/J-tubes), mobility assistance, respiratory support, and monitoring vital signs.
- Health Coordination: Work closely with healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, etc.) to implement medical care plans, communicate health updates, and follow medical instructions.
- ADLs Assistance: Support individuals with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Behavioral Support: Assist in implementing behavioral support plans as directed, using de-escalation techniques and ensuring a positive and safe environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all policies outlined in Pennsylvania’s 6400 Regulations, including incident reporting, documentation, and participation in required training.
- Transport & Community Inclusion: Assist with transporting individuals to medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings, ensuring safety and adherence to transportation protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided, health updates, behavioral incidents, and other relevant information, ensuring compliance with 6400 regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical or behavioral emergencies with appropriate interventions, first aid, and communication with emergency personnel as necessary.
