iSeries Software Developer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
• Customize, support, and extend MAPICS (Infor XA) ERP functionality to meet evolving business needs.
• Design and implement integrations using Infor ION, including workflows, document flows, and business object documents (BODs).
• Develop and support interfaces using Infor XA System-Link for real-time XML-based communication with XA modules.
• Build and enhance user experiences using Infor XA IDF to support custom application development within the Infor ecosystem.
• Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with iSeries applications, MAPICS modules, and integration components.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for applications, integrations, and support procedures.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and validation activities related to ERP systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Infor ION: ION Desk, workflows, BODs, and API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Infor XA System-Link and XML-based ERP communications.
• Strong knowledge of Infor XA IDF for extending ERP functionality and UI development.
• Understanding of core ERP modules (manufacturing, inventory, order management, financials).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with XA PowerLink and Net-Link.
• Familiarity with JSON, REST APIs, and other enterprise integration standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with MAPICS/Infor XA ERP system.
• Proficient in RPG IV, RPG ILE, CL, and DB2/400 SQL.
• Involvement in cloud or hybrid ERP modernization projects.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors.
