Job Description
Job Title: I&E Foreman – Field Install (Oil & Gas)
Location: North Dakota
Job Type: [Full-time / 1 year Contract]

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Foreman to oversee the field installation of electrical and automation equipment on an oil and gas site. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience, a strong understanding of oilfield operations, and the necessary certifications to supervise I&E crews in a safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate field crews during installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.

Oversee installation of MCCs, PLC panels, VFDs, motors, instrumentation, and conduit/wiring systems.

Maintain daily work logs, provide progress updates, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades onsite.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield I&E work with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Valid certifications (as applicable):

Journeyman or Master Electrician License (state-specific)

PEC/Safeland
-
OSHA 10 or 30
-
First Aid/CPR
-
H2S Awareness
-
TWIC (if required by site)

Proficient in NEC, API, and industry standards for hazardous areas.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in upstream oil and gas production facilities.

Knowledge of SCADA systems, automation panels, and commissioning protocols.
Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience. Per diem and housing may be provided for eligible candidates.
