Job Description
Heritage Valley Pediatrics is looking for a dynamic staff member who can add to our team. Previous medical office experience required, pediatric experience preferred but not required. Strong focus on customer service and patient experience. Strong attention to detail and heavy computer work required.
Office Location: Heritage Valley Pediatrics (primarily Chippewa office). May work in our other locations to cover staffing (Hopewell, Beaver, Sewickley).
Work Hours: primarily Monday through Friday 8-5pm; with rotating Saturday (8-1p) and evening (10-7p) coverage.
Coordination of patient information to include, but not limited to, referral process, discharge process, insurance verification, pre-certifications and authorizations, scheduling of appointments for tests, procedures, and follow up. Performs other physician office based clerical/administrative duties as needed.
Required
High school diploma or GED and 1 year of experience working in an office or healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, computer applications, and electronic health records, as well as proficiency with standard office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner with staff and patients. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred
Associates degree. Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of ICD-9 and 10 CPT coding
