Job Description

Description

I. Reports to Inside Sales Manager- Hours 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Mon-Fri

II. Summary- Perform vast array of customer service duties to support service levels of inside sales representatives. Project a professional company image through direct phone interaction with TBSC customers.

III. Primary responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

A. Pull proof of deliveries, material test reports, certificates of compliance, etc upon request of customer and provide to customers

B. Review daily backorder list and communicate to customers timely

C. Accurate write up of product returns and vendor returns

D. Take all "customer service" related calls, such as e.t.a.'s to customer, production schedule questions, etc

E. Assist sales group at month end to update contract prices for each customer

F. Manage open order reports for each salesperson

G. Assist sales with outsourcing non-stocked items

H. Assist sales with faxed customer quotes using pre-determined dividers

I. Review and update customer specific inventory usage monthly

J. Contact customers in the event of driver delays, or missed stops

K. Assist with any special projects, such as maintenance of customer master, track new prospects, etc

L. Enter stock orders into Stelplan from faxes, work orders, etc

M. Assist sales with all reasonable requests that would enable them to be more proactive in selling

N. Interact with operational personnel on production scheduling/delivery/etc.

O. Complete closed buyout pos

P. Run outside sales territory reports monthly

Q. Run monthly report to update prospects

Requirements

Required education/work experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience in customer service

Necessary (required) skills:

  • Data entry of 7500 ksph and typing of 40 wpm desired
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
