At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Cyber Linguist, a typical day will include the following duties:
We are seeking a senior level Mandarin language-enabled Cyber Linguist to support projects and programs in an area of critical interest. You will work with a blended sent of data and information, both helping to procure and then analyze the results to produce information supporting key projects in your component. Daily tasks include extracting information, writing an analysis, and making recommendations to senior partners in your organization and outside entities. The environment is fast-paced and challenging and offers travel opportunities to the right candidate.
Tasks:
Assist meeting project goals using critical language skills.
Work with a multi-level, dispersed team to assist analytics.
Review data and translate for use in analysis and senior-level reports.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience using Mandarin (level 4 reading and level 4 writing ability).
Demonstrated translation styles:
English to Mandarin
Mandarin to English
Experience with translating multiple document formats
Experience with translating cyber security information.

Key Skills:
- Experience with Cyber
- Level 4 Mandarin in Reading
- Experience with customer operations
- Demonstrated experience with written translation from English to Mandarin and Mandarin to English.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience as a linguist (government contractor)
Familiarity with customer mission
Targeting experience
Education Requirement
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
Experience Requirement
- 8-10 years of experience
- A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
