As a Quality Lab Technician & Coupling Inspector, you will ensure accurate calibration and inspection processes that support our production lines and maintain quality standards.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Perform inspections on new gauges, couplings, and thread protectors to applicable standards and practices.
- Coordinate calibrations and minor repairs to all company gauges, hand tools, and related inspection equipment.
- Enter and coordinate gauge calibration into tracking system, maintain recall program, gauge inventory, and movement records.
- Monitor controlled conditions of Gauge Labs and Coupling inspection and maintain all records.
- Conduct Non-Conformance (NCR) investigations, Quality Visits, Risk Assessments, and Internal Audits as needed.
- Assist during Customer, ISO, and API audits and tours.
- Perform Threading and Coupling Audits & Risk assessments as required.
- Perform incoming Coupling and Thread Protector inspections using applicable criteria.
- Develop and write new or revised calibration and inspection procedures.
- Maintain safe work environment by following all policies, standards, and procedures.
What You Bring
We're looking for candidates who are sharp, safety-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Technical degree preferred
- Experience working in a lab or inspection environment preferred.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Ability to use measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
- Ability to develop and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures and train others.
- Organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and calibration software.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to travel between locations using company vehicle for routine calibrations.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
