About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Probst Refrigeration & Heating as an HVAC Service Tech! In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for delivering top-notch service to our valued customers in Effingham, IL, ensuring their heating and cooling systems run efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Install new HVAC equipment and ensure proper functionality.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and maintenance clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in HVAC preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- Valid HVAC certification and relevant licenses.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
