Job Description
Position Purpose: Under general supervision, the Business Systems Analyst- IT reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Consults with clients and system users to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
- Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
- Analyzes business processes and user requirements to document project scope.
- Creates and maintains moderately complex report, batch, interactive, and subfile programs.
- Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
- Identifies program, application, and system problems and resolutions.
- Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.
- Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
- Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests
- Complete all required training applicable to this position
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or business administration.
- 5 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Visio and Oracle
- Data analysis and Project Management skills

Close visual acuity is needed to read, analyze data, and view a computer terminal for extended periods.

This position operates in a professional office environment. It is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will experience low to moderate noise levels and moderate interruptions. The workspace is well-lit and climate controlled.
