Summary of the Role: The Medicare Agent is responsible for guiding clients through the Medicare enrollment process and helping them select the most suitable coverage options based on their healthcare needs and financial situation. This role involves educating individuals on Medicare Parts A, B, C (Medicare Advantage), D (prescription drug plans), and Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policies. The agent provides personalized consultations, ensures compliance with all CMS regulations, and offers ongoing support to clients throughout the year, including annual plan reviews and updates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emails and voicemails, maintaining contact with Clients and Consultants within 24 hours.
Document all phone conversations in the system for current clients, including any issues and resolutions discussed.
Handle all customer inquiries, questions, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Deliver accurate, timely, and appropriate responses to all customer requests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude when interacting with Consultants, Groups, Members, and internal team members.
Stay current with all required testing: successfully pass AHIP and carrier certifications annually.
Maintain an active NJ Health Producer License, CE credits, and any other required state licenses.
Attend sales and internal meetings as needed to stay aligned with organizational goals and updates.
Education and/or Experience:
- Sales and Customer Service Experience a plus
- Professional and courteous in all interactions (phone, email, in-person)
- Experience managing confidential information and complying with HIPAA/PHI guidelines
- High School diploma or equivalent.

The base salary range for this position is $28,000 - $40,000+ Plus Commissions. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
