Marsh USA LLC is seeking candidates for the following full-time position based in the New York, NY office (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.):

Associate Middle Market Insurance Producer

We will count on you to:

Responsible for turning insurance prospects into clients by successfully assisting clients to meet their risk management and insurance needs. Conduct sales presentations with the goal of winning new insurance clients and work to ensure the maintenance and retention of a core book of business, which comprises of low-risk accounts and a high frequency of sales work to generate a sales profit. Conduct cold calls utilizing awareness of internal offerings and product solutions to ultimately gain sales meetings. Develop complex and effective sales proposals and sales presentations for prospect accounts. Close sales deals by negotiating values and basic pricing structures to best serve both the business and client needs. Conduct thorough due diligence research leveraging various resources and channels of information to identify or understand prospect accounts or target sales expansion opportunities. Conduct client and prospect meetings as appropriate and add value to the team with the goal of eventually leading large or complex accounts, specializations, and all general aspects of the insurance sales process. Maintain account relationships and work to ensure the business is viewed as a preferred vendor. Oversee the sales process from start to finish to ensure service quality and general transactional satisfaction. Belong to various professional organizations and grow a large professional network to benefit and represent the business. Participate in sales training events and other professional development courses.

What you need to have:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Marketing or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered, or as a Business Development Manager, or a related position in the insurance broking and risk management industry. Employer will accept three (3) years of university-level studies plus two (2) years of additional related experience in meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement. Must have one (1) year of experience with all of the following: Managing marketing programs and underwriting insurance policies; Planning and developing insurance solutions using salesforce software; Creating industry and insurance product line marketing materials and upselling products and services to corporate clients; Providing sales support and negotiating with insurance carriers on the behalf of clients or partners; Overseeing project management across various insurance lines of cover and managing sales channels; Managing accounts and cross-selling products and services. Travel requirement: 20% domestic travel within the tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT) is required to various and unanticipated client sites for client and prospect meetings.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $144,600 per year.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
