Job Description

Position: School Social Worker
Location: Lemont, IL  60439
Program: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program
Salary: $55,000 - $72,000 / Hourly: $41.67 - $54.55

Daily hours: 8:05 AM - 3:35 PM

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. This position will involve working with a diverse caseload of 27 students, aged 3-11, across three school buildings. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students who communicate both audibly and through sign language. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students on your caseload. 
- Participate actively in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) teams. 
- Utilize designated confidential spaces at each site for all social work sessions. 
- Work closely with a BCBA and a colleague who supports middle and high school students. 
- Engage in ongoing professional development, including learning sign language. 

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- Experience or familiarity with working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students is preferred. 
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support a diverse student population. 
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn sign language and take classes.
- IDFPR License
