Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a crucial role at NGHS by providing both clinical and administrative support to medical professionals. Responsibilities entail a mix of patient care, clerical duties, and assisting practitioners with medical procedures. This position requires certification and often involves working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, private practices, and clinics.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized certification body. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Removing sutures and changing dressings
Facilitating patient education and promoting health habits
Greeting and assisting patients as they arrive
Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Maintaining patient records and filing documents
Managing correspondence and communication
Coordinating referrals and follow-up care
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
