Job Responsibilities and Requirements
We are a leading group life insurance company seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation Architect to lead our team in transitioning from manual testing to a fully automation-driven QA strategy. The Automation Architect will be responsible for developing scalable automation solutions, driving automation best practices, and collaborating with cross functional teams to enhance testing efficiency and product quality. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, modern testing tools, AI integration, and best practices in test automation. This role requires a visionary who can champion an automation-first approach, mentor QA teams, and continuously stay ahead of emerging technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Champion Automation-First Approach: Lead the transition from manual testing to an automation-driven QA strategy.
Design Automation Frameworks: Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks to support next-level testing.
Introduce Modern Tools: Evaluate and integrate tools for test data management, including data masking and synthetic data generation.
Leverage AI for Efficiency: Explore and implement Generative AI solutions to enhance QA team productivity.
Optimize Reporting: Establish KPI’s for automation test coverage and Automate test reporting and metrics generation for real-time insights.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure testing aligns with overall architecture.
Enhance Test Coverage: Ensure automation improves test coverage, reducing the reliance on manual testing.
Define Best Practices: Establish standards for test automation aligned with enterprise goals.
Mentor QA Teams: Guide and mentor QA engineers in adopting automation tools and methodologies.
Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in QA automation.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and more reliable software releases
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Related Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in test automation architecture and implementation.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software testing and test automation and 5+ years of experience working as a Test Architect and driving improvements
Strong knowledge of automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Junit, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Strong programming skills in Jave, Python, JavaScript, or C#
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Experience with RESTful API automation and microservices testing
In-depth knowledge of test design patterns and object-oriented programming
Experience with AI and machine learning applications in QA.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Hands on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Qualifications of Interest:
Industry Experience: Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
Experience with cloud platforms
Knowledge of security testing
Knowledge of performance and load testing tools
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
