Job Description
Summary
The Truck Painter will be personally responsible for washing, repairing, preparing, and painting large body vehicles due to various body damage. The Transportation Equipment Painter duties also include the responsibility of the movement of vehicles within the facility.

Essential Job Functions
- Reads work orders or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting and/or minor repairs on assigned vehicles
- Perform all mechanical operations including bending, pulling, pushing, shaping, and straightening required to repair vehicles
- Perform all collision repairs and all painting to Company trucks, cars, and other maintenance/operations equipment
- Perform chassis and body repairs including corrosion control
- Perform sheet metal and steel fabrication
- Perform all types of welding
- Assist and instruct colleagues as needed
- Verify that repairs are completed and meet federal and state motor vehicle standards.
- Performs general duties and responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 2+ working with different types of auto body paint and finishing
- 2+ Years of experience in collision repair
- Mechanical abilities it takes to run paint sprayers and other machines
- Special attention to detail
- Ability to perform the job independently or instruct and lead others
- Good communication skills with coworkers and superiors
- Capable of performing services on vehicles of all types and sizes
- Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to work long hours and available to work on weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Automotive paint certified

Eye/hand coordination, handling, & wrist motion continuously
Reaching, stretching, interpersonal abilities & lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. frequently
Environmental:
Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet slippery surfaces, hot/cold conditions, & noise continuously
Works inside & outside
Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Mon-Sat *Sun as needed
Hourly Salary: $29.08 - $33.08 per hour
