Job Description

We're looking for a motivated, compassionate Speech Pathologist who's ready to make a real impact. At University Health, you'll work with patients across the lifespan-from newborns to seniors-helping them find their voice, improve cognition, and regain safe swallowing. Every day is different, and every patient presents a new opportunity to change a life.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Evaluating patients and building customized therapy plans

  • Helping patients improve communication, thinking, and swallowing skills

  • Adjusting treatments based on progress and goals

  • Educating patients and families to support success at home

  • Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and the full rehab team

  • Documenting clearly and thoroughly

  • Supervising speech students and rehab techs as needed

  • Pitching in on performance improvement projects and department initiatives

  • Keeping your space safe, clean, and organized

  • Leading or contributing to special projects and programs

  • Staying current with professional development and best practices

  • Supporting a culture of safety, quality, and great patient experiences

What You Need:

  • A degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program

  • A current Missouri Speech Pathologist License

  • Eligible for a Clinical Fellowship Year or holds Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
