Dart Commercial Services is the company for you! This position requires the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting all commercial refrigeration / kitchen equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Troubleshoot and repair Food Service/Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
  • Inspects commercial kitchen equipment and components to ensure safe operation.
  • Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments.
  • Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
  • Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and reassemble repaired systems.
  • Read wiring schematics to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to repair Kitchen equipment.
  • Order, pick up, deliver, and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions.
  • Communicate with retail members and team regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated.
  • Drill holes and install mounting brackets and hangers into floor and walls of building.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as needed on various types of Food Service/Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
  • Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech-24 standards.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; notify supervisor of unsafe/unsanitary conditions.
  • Participate in on-call duty rotation to meet department and member retailer needs.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; and three to five years related experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have a valid driver's license and an appropriate motor vehicle record
  • CFESA certified a plus

Computer Skills

Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel and Outlook (email).

Other Skills and Abilities

  • 2-3 years of monitoring, repairing, and troubleshooting kitchen equipment experience
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration equipment, tools, and refrigerants
  • Working knowledge of silver solder tools
  • Working knowledge of normal shop equipment and hand tools
  • Must own industry's standard hand tools
  • Working knowledge of all electrical phases and voltage
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Superb customer service skills
