Barista Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Barista/Cashier to join our team at the Coffee & Wine Bar and Eatery. This role combines traditional barista responsibilities with cashier duties, offering a dynamic opportunity to engage with customers while ensuring smooth daily operations. The Barista will assist customers during the checkout process, manage cash and credit transactions, prepare and serve coffee beverages, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Some wine knowledge is a plus, and excellent communication skills are a must.

Essential Functions and Key Tasks:

• Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, approachable, and engaging with guests.

• Operate the point-of-sale system; process payments by cash, credit, vouchers, or other approved methods.

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, and wine service as needed.

• Educate customers on products, answer questions, and make recommendations.

• Replenish snacks and restock coolers regularly.

• Maintain a clean and orderly checkout, barista, and wine bar area.

• Support the Chef Manager and other team members as needed.

• Uphold NEXDINE's commitment to quality, hospitality, and service excellence.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous barista and/or food service experience preferred.

• Previous cash handling experience required.

• Some wine knowledge preferred.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Dependable team player with a positive attitude
