Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing PM's and work order requests on all types of equipment or machinery per the PM schedule/system.
- Performs a variety of minor maintenance tasks as needed inside and outside of plant (standard and non-standard work).
- Performs daily plant walk and complete plant check list.
- Ensures outside building perimeter is cleaned, picked up, and outside break areas maintained. Clean and monitor the sidewalks during winter for snow & ice.
- Works with various plant personnel to make improvements or modifications to the facility.
- Work on a variety of equipment including plumbing, piping, air systems, chillers, HVAC, building related repairs, and other types of equipment as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned including, but not limited to production work, rework, and or quality sorts, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must be able to work in confined areas, at heights, and in both hot and cold environments inside and outside the facility. (moved to top)
- Must demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, a strong willingness to learn, the ability to analyze and solve problems, and a mechanical aptitude for understanding systems and processes.
- Must have a desire to find root cause of issues, and repair the problem, not the symptoms.
- Must be self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision while remaining on task.
- Must be able to obtain a motorized vehicle license through Multimatic New Haven to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.
- Able to collaborate with other groups around the plant to drive improvements.
- Understanding basic plumbing and ability to work on systems including but, not limited to sinks, toilets, and lift stations.
- Basic fabrication skills to include measuring, layout, welding, and machining.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuitry including AC and DC systems from 24V-480V.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, occasionally.
