Job Description

The School of Business invites applications for Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science, a full-time faculty position. We are seeking a dynamic educator and scholar with a strong commitment to teaching, curriculum development, and student success.

Academic Year - 2025 -2026

Start date - August 18, 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Teach five courses per semester at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Assess and grade assignments, projects, and exams, returning them to students promptly
  • Provide in-person office hours each week to support students with guidance and refer them to support services as needed
  • Participate in curriculum review, modification, and assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in both the academic discipline and teaching methods
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to align course requirements and contribute to departmental goals
  • Lead program development related to Computer Science and associated curricula at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (for both in-person and on-line modalities)

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required
  • Evidence of at least five (5) years of successful undergraduate teaching experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in diverse learning environments
  • Experience in curriculum design and program development is a plus

Salary Range: $140,000 - $150, 000 per year
