Job Description
Role : IT Tester
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
● Primarily serve as a quality assurance software tester
● Reviewing requirements and/or user stories to develop and execute test cases, scenarios and/or scripts
● Document and report test outcomes, including logging bugs or defects
● Develop a test plan, monitor and report progress, and identify and manage dependencies
● Testing all aspects of application components for compliance with the provided specifications and user stories. Ex: usability, functionality, exploratory, system, smoke, monkey, and compatibility testing
● Coordinate test activities, including technical and security testing, with other team members and OTS verticals
● Provide technical/non-technical knowledge transfer of testing processes.
● Develop and/or assist with project work plans, timelines, status reports, release notes, and other documentation; disseminate information as needed.
● Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
● Three (3) years of experience with quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies
● Three (3) years of experience in developing, identifying and validating appropriate test scripts and test data that ensures software functionality meets end user expectation
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
● Relevant software QA certifications
● Prior experience as a Business Analysts or Product Owner
● Prior experience documenting user stories or gathering requirements from stakeholders
● Prior experience creating user guide or onboarding materials
● Familiarity with Azure DevOps
● Previous work on a dynamic SCRUM team
