Job Description
TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH π―
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our technical team on major aerospace programs. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in the analysis of primary aircraft structures, with practical knowledge of both metallic and composite materials, developed through work on large-scale aerospace programs.
- Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses on primary aircraft structures.
- Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure structural integrity of components.
- Produce detailed stress analysis reports in compliance with FAA, EASA, and OEM requirements.
- Contribute to the definition and validation of structural design criteria.
- Support resolution of technical non-conformities during manufacturing or in-service phases.
- Help develop and enhance internal analysis methodologies and tools.
Requirements
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESSπ
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft structural engineering.
- Proven experience with Boeing programs (737, 787, 777, etc.).
- Strong background in metallic and composite materials, with application in aerospace structures.
- Demonstrated expertise in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance (DT) analysis.
- Solid understanding of primary aircraft structures (fuselage, wing, empennage, etc.).
- Proficiency with analysis tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, ISAMI, HyperMesh, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, self-driven, and collaborative.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification requirements.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Wichita (mandatory).
- Must have U.S. citizenship (mandatory).
