Position Summary - Therapist / Clinical Liaison

The Therapist / Clinical Liaison assists the Therapist / Clinical Liaison Supervisor in the development, implementation, and improvement of clinical services for children enrolled in the program at Grant Gardens. This role assures compliance with licensing and regulatory bodies as it relates to clinical practice, functions as the lead clinician, and assures all clinical services related to treatment meet national and state best practice standards. Additionally, the Therapist / Clinical Liaison is responsible for assuring clinical supervision/consultation for all assigned treatment staff and for the quality of clinical information contained in the client record.

The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus that has a structured payout as follows if employment is active and in good standing: $1,000 at 30-days of employment, $1,000 at 3-months of employment, and $1,000 at 6-months of employment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serves as the clinical expert and advocate for the youths' treatment needs from intake to discharge, for approximately 7 to 10 children and their families.
  • Help develop lifelong skills and relationships for kids and families in our community.
  • Assures the implementation of effective individual, family, and/or group therapy.
  • Provides training and support to other treatment staff.
  • Assists with general quality assurance responsibilities for program treatment services.
  • Candidate will provide Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, and Family Therapy.
  • Some travel is required of this position.
  • Non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends will be included in your work week, and your schedule will be determined with your supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Credentials/Licensure:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology required.
  • Licensed by professional affiliation or license eligible required (in the state of West Virginia) required.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Experience: 1-year of demonstrated clinical work with youth experiencing behavioral disorders and/or mental health conditions and their families.

Clearances:

  • State Police
  • FBI
  • Child Abuse Clearances
  • CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands

  • This position requires operating office equipment 50% of the day. Transports clients 50% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are used 70% the day. The lower and upper torso is used 30% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 40% of the day. Standing occurs 40% of the day. Sitting happens 10% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 10% of the day. This function routinely lifts 15 pounds, 4 times per day. The maximum lift is over 50 pounds, 1 time per day. The position requires the ability to implement physical interventions and meet the physical demands of TCI. Mental Demands

  • Occasionally requires the need to concentrate and handle distractions that interfere. Frequently requires a need for quick decisions and handle a diversity of problems. Continually performs multiple tasks.
