We are currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer to join our organization. As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will be responsible for coordination and preparation of mortgage loan closing documents and post-closing settlement of funded mortgage loans. You will prepare and review Closing Disclosures in advance of scheduled mortgage loan closing for compliance and accuracy. Additionally, you'll prepare mortgage loan closing documents, and work with staff and third-party vendors to coordinate loan closing. as well as review and fund closed mortgage loans.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing closing disclosures to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing.

  • Responsible for assembling documents for delivery to title company, real estate broker, or lending officer for closing.

  • Responsible for verifying accuracy and consistency of specifications on title abstracts, insurance forms, and other required documents.

  • Responsible for entering numbers by calculating loan interest, principal payment, and closing costs.

  • Responsible for calling borrower, real estate broker, and/or Title Company to request specified and required documents.

  • Responsible for answers questions regarding closing requirements and recording loan information for government reporting.

What You'll Need:

  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience.

  • Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in preparing accurate closing documents.
  • Must be able to produce Closing Disclosures for the member and title companies within regulatory mandated disclosure periods.
  • Knowledge of mortgage regulations and compliance applicable to mortgage lending and processing requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
  • Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department
