Job Description
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

HOURS NEEDED:
Hours are varied depending on the assigned project, but you must be consistently available for rehearsals on a Thursday evening during the Fall 2025 semester from 6:00pm-11:00pm, and for a few Friday evenings and Saturday day rehearsals for full cast run throughs in B41 (multipurpose room). Specific dates for full-cast rehearsals are TBD, but will be shared prior to the start of the first rehearsal in Fall semester. Must also be available to work several evenings during the “BPC Tech Week,'' and on the night of each production.For our next major concert, the FA25 Signature Series, Singers Showcase: A Sky Full of Stars—The Songs of Coldplay (Dec. 4 and 5) in the BPC, that includes December 2-5. Additional pre-production work will be assigned, and can be completed remotely on a more flexible schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Support
Support the Berklee Presents production team in performing numerous tasks as needed including distributing production schedules and setlists, set-up and break down of rehearsal room spaces, print and distribute musical charts, and oversee call times to ensure everything runs smoothly
Assist with backstage support, including cast wrangling in the green room during rehearsals and on show nights
Provide coverage for the Berklee Presents Production Assistant role as needed, ensuring seamless event operations.
Coordinate with student performers, production team, and concert venue staff to ensure smooth communication and event flow.
Send regular email updates, reminders, and notes to student cast members and the Berklee Presents team with the understanding of knowing who the audience is, and tailoring communications accordingly
Help the team maintain cast production sheets in GoogleDrive, including cast availabilities, relaying important messages about absences and subs
Take and disseminate rehearsal notes within the Berklee Presents team as directed by the Producer
As needed, support the Assistant to the Arranger Supervisor to distribute and collect scores and parts during rehearsals and performances, ensuring correct versions are being used
Students to achieve their musical and creative potential, and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
Assist with general administrative tasks for the Berklee Presents production team on an as-needed basis
May work occasional prolonged or irregular hours, especially in the lead up to performances
Digital Content Creation & Management
Capture high-quality behind-the-scenes videos and photos using smartphone or provided equipment during rehearsals, soundchecks, and performances.
Film and photograph candid moments that showcase the preparation, artistry, and energy behind Berklee Presents events.
Edit and prepare content to meet Berklee Presents’ social media specifications and style guidelines, including short videos, reels, and still images.
Organize, catalog, and label all media assets in a digital library for easy retrieval and future use.
Collaborate with Berklee’s Digital Marketing team and Concert Operations Marketing area to align content with ongoing campaigns and promotional goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent work ethic with great attitude
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing digital media assets.
Previous experience in event production or digital content creation is a plus.
Strong time management skills, work well under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and diligent
Strong familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) and current digital trends.
Experience with smartphone photography and videography, including basic video editing skills (e.g., using apps like Adobe Premiere Rush, iMovie, or similar).
Fluency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, and Dropbox software
Experience creating and collating data in GoogleForms
Must be a team player, work cooperatively and collaboratively, and be focused on the student and project success
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Appreciation for and understanding of the exacting needs of musicians
Proactive, forward-thinking, and solve problems, administrative, technical, and musical, before they come up
Must enjoy working with culturally diverse populations and on interdisciplinary teams
Bring a sense of fun and a passion for live music and open mindedness for the diverse needs of students of all ages, backgrounds, and ability levels
Ability to follow directions and also motivated to work independently, seeking clarity when needed
