Autism Specialist 1- Autism Waiver Broker

Full Time

Location:Northampton,MA

Salary: $41,454.40 Annually

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 Hours daily, between 9AM-7PM with flexibility to best meet case load needs, adjusting hours as needed. Autism Waiver Support services are made available in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire Counties.

ServiceNet, a leading Human Services agency, is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Autism Specialist- Autism Waiver Brokers support children with Autism and their families in community-home based settings who are assigned to the Autism Waiver Program by the Massachusetts Department of Development Services (DDS). The Children's Autism Waiver Program allows children to receive Expanded Habilitation Education that are in-home services and supports including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Floor Time, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) and other services and benefits delivered by certified professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of teams that provide outreach support to children with autism in home-based setting.
  • Identify needs and engage experts to evaluate, recommend and schedule/ deliver interventional strategies.
  • Implement services delivery for the child and family and track the results achieved.
  • Be an advising intermediary to requisition additional supports, educate other providers on working with the child and family.
  • Help apply for, access and use funding as required for support and services that will benefit the child and family.
  • Track and report all expenditures to funding sources.
  • Help Children and families transition into subsequent programs and assistance that meet their next level of needs.
  • Day to day problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or education equivalent to a 4-year college degree.
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Knowledge of autism and treatments.
  • Over 1 year supporting children with autism in family home settings.
  • Vehicle, valid driver's license and motor vehicle record required.
