Job Description
We’re looking for new team members to join FanDuel Sports Network, the nation’s largest provider of live local sports.
As a local sports media platform, we’re proud to be the local media partner for 29 MLB, NHL, and NBA teams, producing and delivering over 3,000 live games and events every year. The Position:
We are looking for a Manager, Accounting to add to our roster. Reporting to the Director, Finance, this position will supervise multiple staff, implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal controls. The right candidate will be detail oriented, proactive, organized, focused, and possess strong analytical and technical skills.
This role will be hybrid and based in NYC.
The Game Plan:
(What you will do)
- Prepare and review Journal Entries with special emphasis on technical adjustments, directly overseeing a large portion of enterprise accounting.
- Lead month-end close and financial statement review, ensuring proper compliance in a demanding, high-pedigree environment.
- Effectively manage, motivate, and train assigned staff and provide regular status of work-in-progress responsibilities to the VP, Business Unit Accounting and Operations.
- Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects.
- Evaluate and identify areas of potential exposure and internal control weakness and evaluate and improve processes and workflows to improve completion times.
- Review monthly close adjustments including, but not limited to, balance sheet reclassifications, accruals, revenue recognition, rights and production.
- Provide insight into current processes and support other departments.
- Review bank reconciliations.
The Stats:
(What to bring)
- BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of related experience and strong knowledge of US GAAP rules and regulations.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Prior exposure to corporate accounting processes and a proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- High energy with the ability to lead an accounting staff through transformational change.
- Strategic thinker who possesses the ability to effectuate meaningful change and identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Strong analytical account analysis skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate relevant business processes to both accounting and non-accounting members of senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Experience with Workday.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $110,000-$125,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
