Job Summary
We are seeking an Deliberate Leadership Education (DLE) Instructor to join our team! The DLE Instructor will provide full-time instructional services, executive coaching, curriculum refinement, and program assessment in support of the Military Training Leader (MTL) Schoolhouse. This role focuses on delivering values-based leadership training, facilitating experiential learning modules, and supporting long-term leadership development throughout the MTL continuum of learning.

Responsibilities 
  • Maintain prewritten course schedule and timelines
  • Cultivate a positive learning environment
  • Deliver interactive leadership education modules within the Basic and Advanced MTL Courses using approved lesson plans.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance lessons at key time points in the MTL tour of duty to reinforce leadership concepts.
  • Advise on curriculum effectiveness and instructional strategies in collaboration with the Center for Character and Leadership Development (CCLD) and faculty development teams.
  • Design, administer, and analyze surveys to evaluate program impact on professional climate, behavior, and knowledge retention.
  • Compile and present quarterly data analysis reports to MTL leadership, identifying trends and recommending improvements to training outcomes.
  • Ensure continuity of instruction in the event of planned or unplanned instructor absence, with prior notification.
  • Maintain professional standards in accordance with DoDI 1304.33 and AFI 36-2909_AETCSUP to prevent unprofessional relationships or behaviors.
  • Participate in and comply with all credentialing, security, and antiterrorism training as required by the U.S. Air Force.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multitask, and shift priorities as needed
  • Master’s degree with 18+ graduate hours in Counseling, Education, Management, HR, Organizational Leadership, or related field; OR
  • Master’s degree with 125+ hours of intermediate/higher coach-specific training in a recognized ACTP coaching program; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of coach-specific and recognized coaching certification training.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering trust, respect, and professionalism in diverse teams.
  • Strong skills in adult education, experiential learning techniques, and leadership instruction.
  • Ability to analyze and present data trends, survey results, and program evaluation metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience instructing military personnel in leadership or character development.
  • Proficiency with survey tools, data analysis software, and adult learning evaluation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with USAF leadership development priorities and core values-based instruction.
  • Experience working collaboratively with educational developers, command leadership, and coaching organizations.
