Bilingual Academic Tutor - Literacy & Social-Emotional Support (Non-Verbal)

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in San Bernardino, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in San Bernardino, CA
• Schedule: 20 hours a month, 2 sessions for 1.5 hours per week at 5pm
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Deliver one-on-one instruction in early literacy, writing, and foundational ELA skills.
• Use visuals, multisensory materials, and structured routines to support learning and communication.
• Incorporate AAC and sign language into academic tasks and everyday interactions.
• Support social-emotional learning, including attention-building, turn-taking, and emotional regulation.
• Implement scheduled breaks and calming strategies when signs of frustration appear.
• Engage the student through preferred activities such as coloring and reading aloud.
• Adapt lessons to the student’s communication needs and learning style.
• Provide regular feedback to caregivers on progress and strategies used.
