The Role
We're looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to join us as a Medical Actor. This is a Part-Time Onsite opportunity based in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you'll simulates real patient scenarios to help medical professionals and students develop clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills. This role is essential in medical education and assessment, helping to prepare healthcare providers for real-world patient encounters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Professionalism - Ensure all interactions are professional, realistic, and reflective of actual patient encounters
- Portray Medical Scenarios - Accurately simulate a variety of medical conditions, symptoms, and patient histories according to scripted cases
- Participate in Assessments - Engage in clinical assessments or exams, acting as the patient while being evaluated by students or professionals
- Adapt to Different Roles - Take on various roles, including patients with diverse age groups, backgrounds, and medical conditions
The Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to work cooperatively with students, administrators, and staff
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate dependability and timeliness by consistently meeting deadlines and arriving on time for scheduled shifts or tasks
