Job Description
The Biller/Collector in our Physician Clinic Office is responsible for preparing, submitting, filing, and record-keeping of insurance forms and electronic claims, and communicating with patients and insurance companies concerning insurance billings. Will be responsible for reconciling, investigating, and adjusting claims/bills. Demonstrated timely follow-through is required. High School diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in health care and familiarity with electronic billing (SSI) preferred. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 is desirable. Must have excellent Excel and customer service abilities. Knowledge of Medicare and/or Blue Cross payor systems and processes is strongly desired.
