With approximately $1 billion in annual project volume, the company is highly regarded for its expertise in heavy highway construction, earth moving, wet underground utilities, and concrete paving.
About the Position
The company is seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to support a growing heavy highway and bridge construction backlog in the Central Midwest. This role is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a key field leadership position responsible for overseeing daily construction operations on complex bridge projects ranging from $10M to $500M.
The Bridge Superintendent will lead field crews, coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries, enforce safety and quality standards, and work closely with the General Superintendent and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of field leadership experience in bridge construction
- Prior experience at the Foreman level or above required
- High School Diploma required
- College education preferred or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of heavy highway and bridge construction practices and procedures
- Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and project policies
- Experience coordinating labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Highly organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple work activities
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead field teams
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
