Overview
Job Description
- Conduct quantitative analysis of financial data and assist project managers by providing recommendations to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- Develops budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures and regulations while analyzing budgeting and accounting reports.
- Utilizes Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) to perform financial execution functions and assists with data calls as required.
- May support more experienced analysts, applying analytical techniques and methodologies to contribute to the financial management of the projects.
- Supports and guides junior staff and collaborates with senior team members in applying analytical techniques and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Financial management experience, including financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and program status reports.
- Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), FAR, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
- Capable of performing detailed analysis of complex data to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Ability to apply financial management practices to ensure the validity/accuracy of metrics and reporting results.
- Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business, financial, computer science, or information technology discipline.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in a technical, business, financial, computer science, or information technology discipline, plus an additional four (4) years of work experience, can be substituted.
- In lieu of a degree, an additional six (6) years of work experience can be substituted
- Three (3) or more years of relevant financial experience.
- Of those three (3) years, at least one (1) year of experience must be with Navy or other DoD programs
