Position Summary
Wastequip is looking for a Business Analyst for the Charlotte Headquarters located in South Park. This individual will partner closely with operations, sales, finance, and executive leadership to deliver actionable insights, identify key business trends, and enhance overall performance visibility. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, possesses strong analytical and communication abilities, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Description
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and improve recurring and ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets from ERP, CRM, and operational systems.
- Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support informed decision-making.
- Create dashboards and data visualizations that highlight business performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Go beyond data reporting to interpret and elevate key findings, helping management focus on what matters most.
- Provide actionable recommendations to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting with data-driven insights.
- Prepare clear, concise executive summaries and visual reports that communicate complex data trends to senior management and executive audiences.
Business Partnering
- Serve as a data resource and trusted advisor for cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Translate business questions into analytical solutions and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to improve data accessibility, reporting consistency, and forecasting accuracy.
Sales & Operations Support
- Partner with Sales Operations to analyze pipeline trends, pricing, and customer performance.
- Support demand planning and production alignment through data analytics.
- Understand how sales initiatives and market shifts affect operational performance and profitability.
- Prepare executive summaries, visual reports, and board-level presentations.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a business or data analysis role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, macros preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (data modeling, dashboard design, DAX formulas).
- Experience working with ERP and CRM data (e.g., Microsoft D365, Salesforce, or similar systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to translate data into clear business narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and support non-technical business partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong business acumen and curiosity to understand how operational and sales drivers impact financial results.
- Must be able to commute to our Charlotte corporate office.
