About the Team

This role sits within Ingram Micro's NETSEC Business Unit, supporting our Platform Security Vendors. You will join a high-performing team of Development Executives and Acceleration Executives focused on driving growth, partner enablement, and strategic execution across key security vendors. The team plays a critical role in expanding vendor presence, accelerating adoption, and strengthening Ingram Micro's leadership in the cybersecurity ecosystem.

Role Overview

As a Development Executive II dedicated to Proofpoint, you will be responsible for driving platform adoption, expanding partner engagement, and accelerating sales growth across targeted North American accounts. This is a field-deployable role with a strong focus on partner enablement, strategic influence, and business development.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

  • Partner closely with the Proofpoint Vendor Sales team to drive platform adoption and revenue growth within priority accounts, emphasizing Ingram Micro's unique value proposition.
  • Support and enable partners through planning, procurement, implementation guidance, and solution-selling strategies.
  • Engage directly with business leaders and key decision-makers to elevate both the Proofpoint and Ingram Micro brands.
  • Represent Proofpoint and Ingram Micro at field events, vendor-sponsored activities, and partner engagements to drive awareness and business expansion.
  • Manage and grow existing vendor-priority accounts, ensuring long-term success and increased adoption.

Vendor Alignment

This role is dedicated to supporting Proofpoint within the Platform Security portfolio.

Territory

  • Focus on targeted accounts across North America.
  • Position may reside in Buffalo or Field-Based anywhere in the U.S.
  • If the candidate resides near an Ingram Micro office, a hybrid schedule is expected.

Travel Expectations

  • Approximately once per month, or as required to support business priorities and partner engagements.

Certification Requirement

Upon hire, the candidate will be required to complete all vendor-specific Proofpoint certification courses as part of onboarding

Education/Experience: Four-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience. *These timeframes may vary based on the candidate's proven track record of successfully performing and demonstrating the level of knowledge/skills/experiences and delivering the results required of this role.

Compensation: 60/40 split (base/commission)

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,700.00 - $137,200.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
