Overview
Job Description
Location: New York, NY
Work model: Hybrid (Mon–Thu in office, flexible Fridays)
Industry: Healthcare technology / Revenue cycle & administrative operations
Compensation:$75,000 base+ variable compensation (target $150,000 OTE). Top performers may earn up to ~$225,000 with accelerators.
Travel: Occasional (regional meetups / in-person activities)
About the Company
Our partner is building the non-clinical administrative backbone for healthcare, starting with post-acute care. They’re a well-funded, high-growth startup scaling quickly with a small, elite go-to-market team in New York.
The Opportunity
This is not a “smile and dial” BDR role. You’ll help build a repeatable outbound engine by running creative growth experiments that make outbound warmer—campaigns that can include in-person activations, physical mailers, and unconventional plays that cut through noise. The team moves fast, experiments weekly, and rewards ownership and initiative.
You’ll be on a clear performance path: target output is ~5 qualified meetings/week (about 20/month) with meaningful accelerators for high performance.
Responsibilities
- Generate qualified pipeline by booking meetings for the sales team (SMB and/or enterprise, depending on team needs)
- Run weekly growth experiments to create consistent “spikes” in pipeline (direct mail, activations, events, outreach plays)
- Partner with leadership to ideate, execute, and iterate campaigns end-to-end
- Use outbound fundamentals (email, phone, LinkedIn) while constantly improving creative approaches
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and meeting quality standards
- Travel occasionally for regional meetups/events to support pipeline generation
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence (e.g., selling, fundraising, community building, organizing, or other roles where you drove action without offering incentives)
- Clear evidence of creativity, resourcefulness, and high ownership
- Strong organization and follow-through in a fast-moving environment
- Preferred: 6+ months of BDR/SDR experience in a tech environment (or equivalent)
- Ability to work Mon–Thu in-office in NYC and be present for in-person collaboration
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (this role is not currently set up for visa sponsorship)
