Job Description
Business Summary:
The Business Product Manager is responsible for partnering with the AAA Inc. Roadside Assistance Program (RAP) to define technology roadmaps, prioritize product features, and oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise applications. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to deliver high-impact solutions, drive change management, and ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives. The Business Product Manager leads strategic integration efforts, monitors product performance, and maintains expertise in market and industry trends to support continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Defines the RAP technology roadmap, goals, funding, and operating model in collaboration with the Director of RAP and Digital Technology.
- Conducts market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and leads internal and vendor groups to deliver high-impact solutions, ensuring clear objectives, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
- Monitors product performance using KPIs and analytics, and manages projects from concept through deployment with appropriate leadership, governance, and resources.
- Engages RAP leaders, AAA Clubs, vendors, and the Call Center and Technology Systems business to drive change management and enhance stakeholder communication throughout the product lifecycle.
- Influences senior leadership and partners to make strategic decisions, elevates risks and issues, and serves as Product Manager within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train.
- Leads the integration and scaling of Salesforce-based solutions across RAP business units, and ensures IT infrastructure and application support operate effectively with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of market, consumer, technological, and industry trends, and adjusts plans based on environmental developments.
Requirements, Competencies, and Certifications:
- Uses time effectively; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change, and keeps others informed of progress.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of leading by influence, and able to achieve desired goals and objectives while maintaining the respect and support of the organization.
- Ability to articulate a compelling, credible business case for information technology initiatives.
- Proven experience in project leadership, communications at different levels (business and IT audiences), conflict resolution, planning, organization, and management.
- Strong working knowledge of complex technical implementations and translations for end-user understanding.
- Ability to define and design product solutions tailored to business and technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of product discovery, MVP development, and go-to-market strategies.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or computer science required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seven (7) or more years’ experience in large, complex application implementations, product management, product planning, or equivalent experience related to product and software development cycles and engineering.
- Experience in Agile and SAFe environments, implementing and scaling Salesforce technologies. PROSCI Change Management Certification preferred.
Hiring Range: $92,280 - $116,280
This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
