As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients. 

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering knowledge, you’ll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have: 

• 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer for DoD projects, programming in multiple languages, including Java and JavaScript

• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

• Ability to integrate complex software into multifunctional systems

• Ability to perform Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using tools, including Jenkins and Git

• Ability to implement software design and testing best practices

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability to obtain an IAT II level certification within 120 days of hire date

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with frontend and backend software development, programming in Redux, Electron, Material UI, and CSS or SCSS

• Experience unit testing with Jest or Vitest, React Test Library, and Junit

• Experience with npm and Maven

• Experience with software defined radios and tactical radios

• Experience with Navy software design projects

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Experience planning and scheduling complex software tasks

• Experience implementing software installation processes

• Experience developing certificate management software

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
