Job Description
Valley Reconditioning is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage the PREMIER reconditioning facility in the region! A veteran staff awaits your guidance and possesses great skill levels in the reconditioning business. People skills, multi-tasking ability and stout business acumen are important skills to have for this position.
The Reconditioning Manager's primary role will include management of the day-to-day operations of the shop, mentoring and managing the workflow of the technicians to ensure the shop is functioning efficiently while adhering to company standards. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years' experience required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of two years of reconditioning experience.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly effective leadership skills.
- High level of organization and the ability to multi-task.
- Detail oriented.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability of maintaining or exceeding profitability, controlling expenses, and maintaining customer satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to work well under pressure while assisting a wide variety of customers and fostering relationships with key industry contacts.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
- Supervisory responsibilities are required in this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Perform all inspections as outlined within dealership's reconditioning policies and procedure and document all work that was performed.
- Forecast goals and objectives for Valley Reconditioning and strive to meet them
- Attend manager meetings.
- Assist in holding technicians accountable for meeting service expectations and required training.
- Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance; conduct annual performance appraisals; lead in the development of technicians for potential career advancement.
- Responsible for hiring, termination, coaching and mentoring staff within the location.
- Communicate effectively and positively with customers on service estimates and status updates
- Delegate and supervise work assignments to employees; maintain a productive work environment
- Flag all shop production hours on repair orders.
- Ensure all departmental paperwork is processed as per company procedures.
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
- Perform Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
- Uphold W.W. Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
