Job Description
Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of a Mobile Installation Technician. We are a family-owned company that has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year. Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation and servicing all the products we sell. We are a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune's Top Workplace Award. We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly Mobile Installation Technician to join our team. In addition, must be comfortable contributing/working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun work environment. Primary duties include:
Installation & repair of aftermarket mobile electronics & accessories including not limited to:
Car audio/video systems
Marine & motorcycle audio systems
Alarms/remote starts
Dashboard cameras
Radar detectors
Custom lighting
Driver safety systems
Provide customer education on the use of products sold/installed
Job Requirements:
- Pass a drug test & physical
- MECP certification a plus
- Valid driver license
- Working knowledge of analog/digital electronics, schematics & testing equipment
- Customization & fabrication skills a plus
- Some weekend work required
- Be friendly & respectful towards customers and their property
- Mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
