Job Description

About the Team:

The Powder Bed Fusion Additive Manufacturing team is pushing the boundaries of what's possible in rocket propulsion hardware. Responsible for development, process, and production, the team oversees initial concept to final hardware with rigorous quality and precision. From developing print parameters on state-of-the-art 3D printers to enabling fast iteration for partner departments, the team plays a critical role in taking engine designs from concept to hot fire. The team was instrumental in producing Aeon 1 engines for Terran 1 launch and is now pioneering next-generation processes and designs for our Aeon R engines that will power Terran R. With flight hardware production scaling up rapidly, now is the time to join and make a direct impact.

About the Role:

  • Oversee daily operations of both PBF Print and Post-Processing teams, ensuring on-time delivery and execution of production schedule
  • Prioritize and coordinate tasks across shifts, tracking progress and addressing bottlenecks to maintain production flow
  • Assist technicians with troubleshooting PBF Printers, Post-processing equipment, and maintaining daily consumables
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with EHS and SOP process controls
  • Collaborate with engineering and team to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, process optimization, and technician development to enhance team performance

About You:

  • 1+ years experience in PBF (Powder Bed Fusion) additive manufacturing, with exposure to either PBF Printers or related Post-Processing equipment
  • Strong understanding of PBF machine operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and material handling procedures
  • Experience leading a team or acting as a key technical resource in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks, train team members, and track production priorities
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment, including lifting, moving materials, and adhering to safety protocols

Nice to haves, but not required:

  • 1+ years of leadership experience and 2+ in PBF or additive manufacturing, managing technician teams and overseeing production operations.
  • Certification in PBF operation/maintenance applications or Associates degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology
  • Experience in CAD software or programming PBF printers or related subtractive equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and familiarity with data tracking reports to monitor production efficiency
